About Me.

Hello, I’m Michaela, and thank you for being here!

I am a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) with a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Guelph and a Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology from Yorkville University. I specialize in supporting individuals aged 10 and up who are navigating challenges such as anxiety, depression, stress, emotional dysregulation, and life transitions. My goal is to foster a collaborative therapeutic experience that promotes meaningful, lasting change. In my private practice, I strive to create a non-judgmental, compassionate space where clients can safely explore their emotions and thoughts.

At the heart of my approach is the belief that every individual has the inherent capacity for growth and self-healing. I aim to provide a safe, supportive environment that empowers clients to explore their experiences at their own pace, honouring their unique perspectives and values. Therapy, for me, is not about directing the client, but guiding them to uncover their own path toward healing and personal growth.

My Approach

My therapeutic approach is person-centered, integrating modalities like Internal Family Systems (IFS), Emotion-Focused Therapy (EFT), and Narrative Therapy. This combination helps clients gain a deeper understanding of their thoughts and emotions, empowering them to process and organize these experiences in ways that foster healing and growth.
